Thames Water Property Searches' latest headline CPD event a huge success
Over 80 conveyancers attended our property conference ‘Property Problems and Solutions 2016’, which took place in April at The Law Society, London.
Consisting of five hours of CPD, the conference covered a huge range of topical property issues such as managing flood risk, land registry practice, landlord immigration checks on tenants and problem areas arising from the recent SDLT changes. There was also a workshop on the purchase and conversion of dilapidated houses.
Experts in their field, our speakers shared their in-depth knowledge, spoke with enthusiasm and delivered some great ideas that our delegates could immediately implement into their day-to-day activities. They included Professor Peter Reekie, property training consultant with Pennington Marches; Andrew Crawford, a lecturer, private practitioner and former head of the Chichester and District Law Society; and Steve Johnson, Account Director from Landmark.
Feedback was extremely positive. “The free Thames Water CPD course was a fantastic update on issues that affect residential conveyancers,” said Pritpal Singh Manku, a solicitor from The Law House Solicitors. “The quality of the content and the materials provided surpassed that of paid-for courses. Many of the recommendations suggested by the experienced presenters will be incorporated into our daily practice.”
